The Name

PURPLE
Besides being my favorite color, purple represents royalty – God’s very real sovereignty over every painful circumstance in our lives. Royalty is also a word that has been spoken out over my life, a high calling to experience Him and be used by Him in significant ways as I walk a narrow path of faith. He has invited me. I have chosen it. There’s no turning back now.

PHOENIX
A mythical creature that dies in the fire and is reborn out of the ashes, the Phoenix bird speaks to me of the spiritual realm. In the fire of our pain, our senses are sharpened to recognize this realm, one more real than what we see with our physical eyes. If we choose, we can engage with God here, allowing Him to refine and purify us through the fire. As we are stripped of our dependence on anything but Him, He brings beauty, good, and new life directly out of the ashes. The Phoenix is known for its cry – a beautiful song, a song of redemption.

JOURNEY
Being refined and renewed does not happen overnight. It is a journey that can stretch for weeks, months, even years. If you are in the fire, you are not alone. You are welcome here. He is close. Remember, in this world, we will have trouble, but… He has overcome the world.
